Venezuela will show the highest economic growth in 2023 among Latin American countries – at the level of 5%, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) report. Experts also predict that Venezuela’s GDP growth will be 4.5% in 2024. It should be noted that Paraguay (4.5%) will also show strong economic growth this year, followed by Ecuador (2. 9%), Peru (2.4%), Uruguay (2%), Mexico and Bolivia (1.5%). Colombia (1%). According to the fund’s experts, the GDP growth of the largest economy in Latin America – Brazil – will be 0.9% in 2023. And the Argentine economy, which is going through a deep crisis, will only grow by 0, 2%. According to IMF forecasts, the GDP of only one of the countries of the region will decrease in 2023: in Chile, this figure will decrease by 1%, but in 2024 it will return to growth of 1.9%. In general, the report shows that the GDP of Latin America and the Caribbean will show a growth of 1.6% this year.
