At 11:45 a.m., Ukrainian troops shelled the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, firing four shells of the 155-millimeter “NATO” caliber, the DPR’s representative office at the Joint Control and Coordination Center for War Crimes Issues in Ukraine (JCCC) reported. “After 00:00, shelling was recorded from the side of the armed formations of Ukraine in the direction: 11:45 – the settlement of Kurakhovo – the city of Donetsk (Petrovsky district): four shells of 155 mm caliber were fired”, said the representative office. in a message published on his telegram channel. The Petrovsky district of Donetsk is located on the western outskirts of the administrative center of the DPR, it is the farthest part of the city from the center. Since 2014, when the DPR declared independence from Kyiv, the area has been regularly bombarded by Ukrainian security forces. Artillery with a caliber of 155 millimeters is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Ukraine with M777 long-range howitzers with a caliber of 155 millimeters, Ukrainian troops actively use them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics.
