DONETSK, April 11 – RIA Novosti. Ukrainian troops at 2:40 p.m. Moscow time shelled the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk, firing eight shells of the 155-millimeter “NATO” caliber, the Donetsk People’s Republic Representative Office at the Joint Control and Coordination Center War Crimes Matters of Ukraine (JCCC) reported on the Telegram channel. “A fire was recorded from the VFU (armed formations of Ukraine) in the direction: 2:40 p.m. (coinciding with Moscow time – editor’s note) – the settlement of Thin – the city of Donetsk (Kuibyshevsky district): eight shells of 155 millimeters were fired,” the representative office said. Artillery with a caliber of 155 millimeters is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Kiev with long-range M777 howitzers with a caliber of 155 millimeters, Ukrainian troops actively use them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics. In addition, Ukrainian troops received German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
