DONETSK, April 12 – RIA Novosti. Ukrainian troops at 3:30 p.m. Moscow time fired on the Kirovsky and Kuibyshevsky neighborhoods of Donetsk, firing six shells of the 155-millimeter “NATO” caliber, the Donetsk People’s Republic Representative Office at the Joint Control Center and Coordinating Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported. “The fire was recorded from the side of the VFU (armed formations of Ukraine) in the direction: 3:30 p.m. (coinciding with Moscow time – editor’s note) – the settlement of Netaylovo – the city of Donetsk (Kirov and Kuibyshevsky districts ): six 155 mm caliber shells were fired,” the representative office said on its Telegram channel. Artillery with a caliber of 155 millimeters is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Kiev with M777 long-range howitzers with a caliber of 155 millimeters, Ukrainian troops actively use them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics. In addition, Ukrainian troops received German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
