In the Bryansk region, two explosive devices were found at the oil pumping station of the Novozybkovo pipeline, Transneft spokesman Igor Demin told TASS.
On the evening of March 14 and the morning of March 15, explosive devices were found at the station “in destroyed plastic boxes of non-industrial production with a striking warhead in the form of steel balls”, Demin said.
The bodies of the bombs are believed to have been damaged after hitting the ground during a drop from a drone. At noon on March 15, a company spokesperson said, another explosive device was seen dropped by a drone. Governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz neither yesterday nor today reported drones in the airspace of the Bryansk region.
“The nature of the warhead – metal balls – suggests that the organizers of the sabotage did not intend to destroy the object, but to kill civilian personnel serving the Druzhba pipeline station. investigations are ongoing,” Demin added.
According to him, the station, where oil pumping was stopped last year, is in no way damaged.
Local authorities and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not comment on the message of the representative of Transneft.
Since the beginning of February in the media like minimum twice there was information about attempts to bomb the Druzhba oil pipeline in the Bryansk region. Transneft only confirmed the first attempt to bomb the station. In both cases, no injuries or casualties were reported.
