In Belgrade, thousands of people took part in the mass procession against the Western plan for Kosovo
In the capital Serbia Belgrade A mass demonstration took place against the US-European proposal for a settlement in Kosovo. Representatives of right-wing patriotic parliamentary parties and non-parliamentary movements took to the streets of the city. This is reported RIA News.
The marches were organized by the movements “Gates”, “Zavetniki”, the New Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) and the Movement for the Renewal of the Kingdom of Serbia (POKS). Protesters gathered around 6 p.m. (8 p.m. Moscow time) near St. Sava Church, which is the largest in Belgrade.
Many came to the protest with Serbian flags, Orthodox patriotic icons and symbols. At the head of the procession were activists with a “No Surrender” banner. The column passed through the central streets to the monument to the emperor Nicholas IIlocated in front of the presidential administration building. In total, several thousand people gathered.
“We will not abandon the sanctuary, we will not abandon Kosovo and Metohija!” – the leader of the Zavetniki movement, Milica Dzhurdzhevich-Stamenkovski, addressed the audience from the stage.
March 15 Special Representative European Union (EU) on the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina Miroslav Lajcak declared on the acceptance of the settlement plan for Kosovo by both parties. According to him, for the moment it remains only to approve the program for its implementation.

Previously became knownthat Washington is ready to provide economic and diplomatic support to Belgrade if Serbia joins the sanctions against Russia. According to the special envoy UNITED STATES on Serbia and Kosovo by Gabriel Escobar, it is not advantageous for Belgrade to stay away from the European community in this matter.
