Hearing session on deprivation of parental rights Alexei Moskalev, the father of schoolgirl Masha Moskalyova, who drew an anti-war cartoon, is scheduled for April 6. Until then, according to OVD-Info with reference to lawyer Vladimir Bilienko, Masha Moskaleva will spend in a shelter.
The girl was placed in a shelter on March 1, all this time there is no communication with her – the administration of the institution refuses to let her relatives in and give her a phone. Masha Msokaleva’s condition is unknown, writes OVD-Info.
Aleksey Moskalev, a resident of the city of Efremov, is raising his daughter Masha, a sixth-grader, on her own. In April 2022, a girl drew an anti-war drawing in an art class. After that, FSB officers had a conversation with Masha and an administrative protocol was drawn up against her father to “discredit” the Russian military, after finding anti-war posts and comments on his social media. In December 2022, we learn that a criminal case has already been opened against Alexei Moskalev for “discrediting” the army. In early March, Aleksey Moskalev was detained by the police, the court chose for him a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest, and the girl was sent to an orphanage.
Andrey Morev, vice-president of the Moscow branch of the Yabloko party, launched on Change.org petition demanding to release Masha Moskaleva from her father’s foster home. The appeal, as of March 15, had collected nearly 130,000 signatures.
