Crimean leader Sergei Aksyonov said a strong group of troops were on the peninsula and all necessary security measures were being taken. “All necessary security measures are taken. There is a powerful grouping of troops on the peninsula, which includes modern air defense systems. The effectiveness of their work can be judged by the number of downed enemy drones. Although, of course, no air defense system in the world can give a 100% guarantee, it is necessary to understand,” Aksyonov said in an interview with the weekly Zvezda. According to him, serious lines of defense have been created in the Kherson region and on the administrative borders of the republic. “Thus, our military and special services are ready to neutralize any threat. If all this does not help – thank God – we will create a museum there, we will take tourists there,” Aksyonov stressed. At the same time, the head of the republic stressed that Ukraine would not be able to seize Crimea, since nothing threatens the peninsula after fortification and formation of defense. “And this is neither the only nor the main reason for our confidence. In the nine years that have passed since the referendum and the year of the special military operation, the support of the President and the Kremlin has not not changed. The Crimeans see and trust the leader of our country,” Aksyonov stressed.
