The second in Nizhnevartovsk and the fourth in the “Island of Farmers” of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, which promotes the products of small local producers, was opened with the support of the regional government, reports the Development Fund of Yugra. “The opening of the fourth point of the Farmer’s Island project in Yugra on the territory of the large federal retail chains Magnit, Pyaterochka, Perekrestok is a new opportunity for local producers to expand the sales geography, increase sales and recognition of their products.This project allows farmers and food producers to enter the retail market even with very modest production volumes, and for the inhabitants of our region, it is an opportunity to buy fresh products and high quality directly from the agricultural producers of Yugra, “said Kirill Zaitsev, director of the industry department of the region, is quoted in the message. In “Farmer Islands” you can buy a wide range of products local: on the shelves are meat products, dairy products, greens, wild plants, salads according to recipes from around the world, chocolate, jam, reindeer moss sweets. Also on sale are semi-finished products and ready meals made from deer, elk, venison. The project is implemented by the SME Corporation in the region with the help of the government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra. The first “peasant island” of Ugra was opened in Surgut on November 1, 2022 on the territory of the Pyaterochka retail chain, later two more “shops in a store” were opened in the area. In total, with the support of the SME Corporation, 39 “peasant islands” were organized in 22 regions of Russia.
