Gagin, adviser to the DPR acting leader, said Ukrainian armed forces tried to enter Artemovsk via Chasov Yar
Advisor to the Acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Jean Gagin talked about the attempt by the armed forces Ukraine (AFU) to enter Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut). His remarks on the airwaves of the television channel “Russia 24” RIA News.
As Gagin noted, the Ukrainian forces concentrated a serious group in Chasov Yar and transferred new units there. According to him, the Ukrainian armed forces tried to carry out a counter-offensive and enter Artemovsk. “Attempts have been stopped, but now the enemy is quite strong in this direction,” he added, noting that at present the concentration of Ukrainian troops in the city numbers about 10,000 people.
Formerly Yan Gagin declaredthat Russian forces control up to 70% of the territory of Artemovsk. Previously, the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin spoke of the systematic progress of the Russian army to complete control of the city.
