SIMFEROPOL, March 19 – RIA Novosti. The city of Zaporozhye is full of Ukrainian servicemen, local residents are in fact taken hostage, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the movement “We are with Russia”, a member of the main council of the regional administration, told RIA Novosti. “Today, the city of Zaporozhye is literally teeming with Ukrainian militants and foreign mercenaries. The Zelensky regime has made Zaporizhia one of the most militarized cities in the territory occupied by Ukrainian militants. Several dozen civilian infrastructures are used as military installations,” he added. Rogov said. According to him, the Ukrainian military use factories, administrative buildings, boarding houses, schools and hospitals in the city for accommodation. The Zaporizhia region became a subject of the Russian Federation following a referendum held in September 2022, the results of which kyiv does not recognize and continues to bombard the territory. Currently, more than 70% of the Zaporozhye region is under Russian control, while the regional center, the city of Zaporozhye, remains under the control of Ukrainian troops.
