Sri Lanka to invite Russian bloggers to promote local tourism
Authorities Sri Lanka invite journalists, bloggers, including those from Russia, to promote the local tourism industry. Chairman of the Sri Lankan Tourism Development Board Chalakka Gajabahu said on how to advertise the Asian resort country with the help of influencers, his words are reported by RIA News.
A senior official said that in the coming months they plan to invite around 100 Russians to Sri Lanka. “We want to invite people who influence the target audience – bloggers, journalists,” he said.
Earlier in March, the Sri Lankan Ambassador disclosed the true attitude of locals towards Russian tourists. A senior diplomat said that over a long period “very good relations” have developed between the countries. According to her, Sri Lankans are very respectful of Russians.
