MOSCOW, March 15 – RIA Novosti. The trade surplus of the Russian Federation in January 2023 decreased by 52.3% and amounted to $10.732 billion from $22.5 billion in January 2022, according to data released by the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia. According to the Federal Customs Service, exports in January amounted to $32.936 billion, down 28.2 percent from January last year. January 2023 imports fell 4.8% to $22.204 billion. Thus, the trade surplus for January 2023 amounts to 10.732 billion dollars. Earlier, the Federal Customs Service of Russia announced a partial resumption of the publication of customs statistical data on foreign trade. Thus, Russia’s foreign trade turnover in 2022 increased by 8.1% by 2021, reaching $850.5 billion.
