MOSCOW, March 30 – RIA Novosti. Russian tour operators have sold 30-40% of Turkey’s entire summer assortment as part of the early booking campaign, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) said in a statement. ATOR noted that in winter, discounts on accommodation at some hotels in Turkey reach 55-70%. They said that during the early booking campaign, tour operators not only offer discounts in Turkish hotels, but also preferential payment terms. Thus, at different stages of the promotion, it was possible to book an organized trip with a deposit of only 10-25% of the total amount and pay the rest 10-14 days before departure. “According to the results of the early booking campaign, Turkish tour operators managed to sell 30-40% of the entire summer assortment,” the association said, adding that the rest of the assortment will be probably purchased during the season itself. “Turkey’s share of sales for tour operators and the largest agency networks now averages 50-55% in the market,” ATOR noted. The Association clarified that Turkey’s prices during the season could increase by 20-25% from the current level. “Turkish hotels are booming in bookings from Western markets, they have enough to replace Russians even if there is a drop in demand from them. In addition, the huge inflation in recent months has driven prices up foodstuffs on several occasions, the hoteliers are quite simply obliged to compensate for the cost of the All Inclusive “The growth of the tariffs, it will not work in the red”, explains the association.
