MARIUPOL (DPR), March 16 – RIA Novosti. Russian sappers neutralized an anti-tank minefield installed by the Ukrainian army near Mariupol, the deputy commander of the combined detachment of engineering troops with the call sign “Announcer” told reporters. “In the current section, they destroyed the minefield laid by the enemy. Today, more than 200 TM-62 mines have been destroyed, the clearance of the field and the destruction of the remaining explosive objects continue,” said reported the announcer. Mines are destroyed by explosions of 30 pieces. Each field consists of 400-500 anti-tank mines. “The mines were destroyed by blasting, they were not removed from the place in order to secure the work of the sappers,” he explained. For the safety of the local population, each of these fields is guarded, it is fenced with tapes and warning signs.
