MOSCOW, March 16 – RIA Novosti. Crews of 152 mm Msta-B howitzers of Russian troops destroyed the firing positions of Ukrainian Gvozdika self-propelled guns and an ammunition depot near Maryinka in the DPR, said Ivan Bigma, head of the press center of the Yug group. “In the area of the Marinka settlement, crews of 152-mm Msta-B howitzers destroyed the firing positions of the Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mounts, as well as a combat depot with ammunition of nationalists, during of a counter-battery fight,” said Bigma. In addition, according to him, in the direction of Avdiivka, the servicemen of the First Army Corps, using reconnaissance equipment and thermal imagers, identified a temporary location for the personnel of the Ukrainian troops. “The coordinates were quickly transferred to the command post, and the target was destroyed by helicopter strikes from army aviation,” added the head of the press center.
