MOSCOW, March 30 – RIA Novosti. Sputnik radio columnist (part of the Rossiya Segodnya media group) Diana Berlin and special photojournalist of Rossiya Segodnya Ilya Pitalev received special awards from the Union of Journalists of Russia, reports RIA Novosti correspondent. On Thursday, Moscow hosts the Golden Feather of Russia awards ceremony. Berlin received a special prize “For the preservation of the best traditions of national broadcasting”, Pitalev was awarded in the category “Best photojournalist”. War correspondents from the RIA Novosti agency, part of the Rossiya Segodnya media group, Alexander Kharchenko and Sergey Shilov, covering the special operation in Ukraine, received awards for their courage in carrying out their duties. In this category were also awarded the employees of Rossiyskaya Gazeta Sergey Emelyanov, Anna Kovaleva, Igor Kots and Vladimir Ladny, editor-in-chief of the Regnum news agency Marina Akhmedova, special correspondent of the TV Center television channel Petr Vershinin and d ‘others. Dmitry Kiselev, general director of the Rossiya Segodnya media group, received the honorary title of Golden Feather of Russian Journalism. “The Golden Feather of Russia” is an annual professional award of the Union of Journalists of Russia. The aim of the competition is to support and encourage talented journalists. The award is given for outstanding professional achievement, long-term work in the national press, radio and television, citizenship and moral authority among colleagues.
