MOSCOW, March 17 – RIA Novosti. There is no danger of the spread to Russia of an unknown disease that was detected in Tanzania, Rospotrebnadzor’s press service said. According to information from the Ministry of Health of Tanzania, cases of unidentified infection are recorded in the northwest of the country. At present, there is not enough information to reliably establish the cause of the disease, the press service noted. “In Russia, no cases with such symptoms have been reported. At all checkpoints across the border of the Russian Federation, Rospotrebnadzor screens people arriving using Perimeter AIS. There is no danger of further spread of this disease,” the report said. The described symptoms of the disease can indicate a number of infectious diseases: dengue fever and chikungunya fever, leptospirosis, the disease caused by the Ebola virus, which was observed in neighboring Uganda in 2022, explained the press service.
