Promoter Vladimir Khryunov has revealed details of Russian fighter Ivan Emelianenko’s first match under mixed martial arts (MMA) rules. Khryunov’s words lead TASS.
“Ivan Emelianenko will fight under MMA rules on May 26 in Moscow. We made an offer [Антонио] “Bigfoot” Silva,” the promoter said.
Ivan, 35, who is the younger brother of Russian MMA fighters Alexander and Fedor Emelianenko, is a master of combat sports sambo. Silva, 43, has 19 wins, 14 losses and a draw. In 2011, the Brazilian beat Fedor Emelianenko in the Strikeforce tournament.
In total, during his professional career, 46-year-old Fedor suffered seven defeats and won 40 victories. Another fight with his participation was declared invalid. The Russian owned the titles of the champion organizations Pride and RINGS. Alexander Emelianenko, 41, has 28 wins, 10 losses and a draw in MMA.
