Representatives of the Canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) filed a complaint with the police for obstructing the work of the state commission in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. About this in Telegram said the Minister for Culture and Information Policy Ukraine Alexander Tkachenko.
According to him, due to “physical obstacles” on the part of representatives of the UOC, the commission for the acceptance and transfer of state ownership of the national reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” did not could begin its work.
“Representatives of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Monastery, who are members of the commission, could not explain who had the keys to the building, the inspection of which was planned. In addition, many strangers prevented the members of the commission from entering the building,” explained the head of the department.
