MOSCOW, March 18 – RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law on the assignment of federal significance to cultural heritage sites located on the territory of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the document is published on the legal information portal. According to this law, a decision is made to classify objects of cultural heritage that were in these territories on the day they were accepted into the Russian Federation as objects of cultural heritage of federal significance. The referendums on the entry of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation were held from September 23 to 27, 2022. According to the results of processing 100% of ballots in the DPR , 99.23% of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region – 93.11%. On September 30, Putin spoke in the Kremlin following the results of the referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, after which he signed agreements with their leaders on the admission of regions in Russia.
