Putin classifies drug trafficking by foreign intelligence services as a threat to Russia’s national security

President of Russia Vladimir Poutine classified drug trafficking in the country by foreign intelligence services and nationalist organizations as a threat to national security. The corresponding decree of the Head of State introduced amendments to the National Drug Policy Strategy for the period up to 2030, approved in 2020.

According to the document, the list includes “the activities of special services and extremist, including nationalist, organizations of foreign states involved in the illegal production and smuggling of drugs, as well as their illegal distribution in RF“. The decree is published on the legal information portal.
