The former First Deputy Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed and annexed People’s Republic of Luhansk, Vladislav Kuznetsov, has been appointed acting head of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
The corresponding decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin is published on the Kremlin website. The text of the document indicates that Roman Kopin, who has led Chukotka for 15 years, was removed from his post of his own free will.
Roman Kopin has been leading the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug since July 2008. In this position, he replaced businessman Roman Abramovich.
Vladislav Kuznetsov in 2019-2022 busy post of deputy governor of the Kurgan region. Before that, he worked in the structures of SIBUR. Since June 2022, Kuznetsov has been the first deputy chairman of the government of the self-proclaimed LPR.
