The drop from the same period in 2022 was around 30% and sales were down the same percentage from January 2023. “There’s a lot of product in the warehouses – some have more, some have less , but demand is falling and gadgets need to be sold,” the newspaper’s source said.
At the same time, the technique Apple and Samsung are snapping up quickly, and Chinese gadgets from second-tier manufacturers or unknown brands have been waiting for buyers for a long time. The source of the publication estimates that the demand for gadgets could increase again by the start of the school season, that is, by the end of the summer. Valery Shershnev, Lead Product Manager of the company’s notebook division, also expects a revival in the market this summer.
At the same time, telecom operators themselves, as well as marketplaces, on the contrary, speak of an increase in sales. According to an employee of one of the distributors, the overstocking could be in the hands of buyers, as it will lead to trade wars between retailers and help drive down prices.
