MOSCOW, March 19 – RIA Novosti. Nearly 10,000 men of military age left Ukraine through the electronic “Way” (in Ukrainian “Way”) system last year and did not return, about 11% of all those who received the permission to leave, the Ukrainian edition of “Glavkom” writes, citing an interim report of the temporary investigative commission of the Verkhovna Rada. “Thanks to the ‘way’ system, which allows people to leave Ukraine for voluntary or humanitarian purposes, 9,373 men of military age did not return to Ukraine during martial law. This represents 11.1% of the total number of people who have exercised the right to leave”, informs the publication. It is reported that the statistics are presented for the period from February 24 to December 31 last year. According to the data, most of those who left and did not return from western Ukraine – Volyn, Ternopil, Lviv regions. “96,442 men of military age were included in the “path” system. They were allowed to leave Ukraine with the mandatory condition of returning there. 66,374 people successfully used the permission to travel to abroad”, writes the newspaper. The departure of men between the ages of 18 and 60 from Ukraine during the period of martial law is prohibited. Previously, the Verkhovna Rada extended martial law and general mobilization until May 18.
