Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin asked the heads of regions to work out possible measures for the accelerated development of industry in their territories, for example, providing land for new production for a nominal fee. “By visiting various companies in the regions and learning about their proposals, initiatives, I note that they often lack funding for their implementation, almost all the representatives of industrial companies talk about it. Small tech companies, school and student startups also need help. have many useful ideas that need to be developed and put into practice. Of course, we will provide such support,” Mishustin said, speaking Tuesday during a strategy session on building technological sovereignty. “At the same time, decisions at the local level are of great importance, including the provision of land for the creation of new industries for a small fee. I would ask the heads of Russian regions to work out all measures possible for the accelerated development of industry in their territories,” the Prime Minister added.At the same time, he said that the authorities will actively develop key industries such as mechanical engineering, chemical complex, energy, aeronautical and naval construction, agriculture and biotechnology, robotics, artificial intelligence, unmanned systems and other innovative fields.Mishustin recalled that the Head of State had instructed the Council of Ministers to introduce new support measures for industry, prioritizing the restoration of industries affected by the sanctions. “There is a need to develop long-term systemic solutions in order to stimulate business activity as much as possible, to increase the attractiveness of investment projects and, above all, to give impetus to the development of so-called end-to-end technologies which have a significant impact on all sectors of our economy,” the Prime Minister added. The head of government also said that the meeting will discuss the concept of technological development, designed for the next 8 years. “These are radically new approaches in this area. We will also discuss the first results by industry, especially since there are already first successful individual examples in terms of achieving technological sovereignty,” he said. -He underlines.
