The leader of A Just Russia – For the Truth, Sergei Mironov, appealed to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, Igor Krasnov, with a request to personally take control of the case of frontline surgeon Yuri Yevich, who has been accused of discrediting the RF Armed Forces. After giving a lecture on Sakhalin, a field surgeon received a protocol under part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (discrediting the Russian military), a hearing is scheduled for April 18 in the Kozelsky District Court of the Kaluga region. On Monday, Kaluga Region Governor Vladislav Shapsha expressed hope that the court would deal with the accusation of discrediting the Russian military, brought, according to media reports, by military surgeon Yuri Yevich, and noted the doctor’s combat experience and his work with students. According to the governor, Yevich taught courses in tactical medicine, spoke about patriotism and love for the fatherland on the basis of Kaluga State University. Under his methodological guidance, medical students collected several thousand tactical first aid kits for Kaluga residents participating in a special military operation, Shapsha noted. “I turned to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, Igor Viktorovich Krasnov, with a request to take the case of frontline surgeon Yuri Yevich under personal control,” Mironov wrote on his Telegram channel. Mironov noted that Yevich’s insignia should be considered. “He was awarded the medal “For Courage”, the presentation of charges should be treated with great caution. Sometimes it is enough to calmly accept the recommendations of specialists who devote their lives to the service of the fatherland.
