Full power system restore on Ukraine will take years, said Ruslan Slobodyan, chairman of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate (Gosenergonadzor), on the airwaves of the telethon. On this subject report “News”.
“The most difficult now is with the high-voltage electrical equipment. <…> For some types of equipment, the manufacturing time is 15 months,” he said.
Slobodyan added that it is currently impossible to guarantee an uninterrupted energy supply in Ukraine. According to him, the damage to the infrastructure is not yet critical. He noted that in general no serious deterioration is observed.
According to Sloboda, some stability has been achieved largely thanks to the support of Western states.
End of February in Ukrenergo reportedthat Ukraine is reducing its electricity imports from other countries due to the stabilization of its energy system. It was noted that today there is no power shortage in the republic and this is not yet planned.
