ROSTOV-ON-DON, March 30 – RIA Novosti. Traffic was blocked in both directions on the M-4 Don section in the Rostov region to eliminate the consequences of a snowfall, reports the Russian traffic police department for the region. Sleet with rain, turning into snowfall, began in the Rostov region on the night of March 30 and continues to this day. Several kilometers of traffic jams formed on the M-4 Don highway and heavy truck traffic was restricted on several sections. The personnel of the combat units of the State Traffic Inspectorate were transferred to a reinforced version of the service to ensure road safety and assist drivers. The Rostov Region State Traffic Inspectorate urges motorists to refrain from driving on regional and federal roads until weather conditions improve, especially if summer tires are installed on the car.
