Police visited the Moscow bars Underdog and La Virgen due to suspicion that these establishments may be involved in financing the Ukrainian armed forces, reports TASS citing law enforcement.
eyewitnesses reported “OVD-Info” that the police came to the bars with a hammer and electric shocks. Around 9 p.m., messages appeared on the social networks of the establishments indicating that they were closed. “We will tell you all the details later, or you will learn them from friends”, said Underdog Instagram.
SOTA telegram channel writingthat riot police left Underdog around ten o’clock at night. The channel reports that law enforcement officers forced one of the visitors to write the letter “Z” and the words “For Russia” on the door of the institution.
According to SOTA, the musical repertoire of the bar itself changed after the appearance of the police. The channel’s correspondent heard the songs Shaman, “Lube”, as well as “Blue Handkerchief” and “Hey, oh, yes, my black horse”.
In turn, Mediazona, citing an employee of Underdog, wishing to remain anonymous, writingthat the police forced visitors to sing, threatened them with stun guns and also asked people with tattoos to strip.
Later, OVD-Info wrote that among the visitors and staff of the two establishments there were detainees who were taken to the police station in the Basmanny district. Human rights activists did not specify their number. The lawyers were not allowed to see the detainees, writes OVD-Info.
According to the human rights project “The First Department”, in total were detained about 40 people. Most of them have already been released. They say they were questioned by FSB agents at the police station.
Telegram channel “Attention, news” clarifiesthat law enforcement employees explained the incident as “planned verification activities”.
