The fifth defendant in the criminal case of the murder of a 17-year-old teenager in Chelyabinsk has been arrested by the court, the press center of the regional prosecutor’s office reported. As reported by SUSK, on ​​the night of April 9, the body of a 17-year-old local resident with knife wounds was found near one of the houses in Chelyabinsk. Earlier, operational officers of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region arrested four people involved in the crime, who beat the victim, and one of them stabbed her with a knife. The detainees were charged under paragraph “g” of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder committed by a group of people), they were arrested. On Thursday, the inquest announced the arrest of two other crime suspects. “The regional prosecutor’s office supported the request of the SUSK investigative body to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a 17-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation … The court rejected the application for election to domicile arrested and chose the accused as a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 2 months, i.e. until June 11, 2023,” the statement said. Earlier it was reported that the first person arrested on suspicion of murder was a 20-year-old local resident who had a domestic dispute with the deceased. The man confessed to law enforcement that he stabbed the teenager with a knife. According to the Interior Ministry, one person involved in the case works in Russia on the basis of a patent, the other has a temporary residence permit. In addition, two other defendants, minors, live in Chelyabinsk with a legal representative holding a certificate of professional activity.
