Experts discussed professional development practices in the Knowledge Society Podcast Studio

At the XXIII Annual International HR EXPO Pro People Conference and Exhibition in the Knowledge Society Podcast Studio, experts from the nation’s HR industry discussed tools to increase recruitment efficiency, motivation and employee development. For two days, the speakers discussed which professions will be in demand in the next 5-10 years, what is the strategy of a person’s uniqueness and how to reveal his talent, introduced the audience to successful cases and practices of management in the new realities.

Studio guests were representatives of major organizations in the country, such as Rosatom, Russian RailwaysGreenath, RosmolodezhAtomstroyexport and many more.

One of the tasks of HR EXPO Pro people, which took place on March 15 and 16 at the Crocus Expo IEC, is to ensure the creation of conditions for the professional, personal and civic development of young people in Russia. The Russian company “Knowledge” acted as a strategic partner of the event.

Yulia Konstantinova, director of human resources of the knowledge society, became the first guest of the podcast studio. In his opinion, today in any company the most important resource is the staff, and the work of HR specialists is aimed at competent and effective management of their unique potential.

“The functions of an HR manager are no longer limited to hiring and firing employees, we are talking about partnerships with companies, training and adjusting a company’s strategy for its most effective development. Therefore, in our work, we pay special attention to close interaction with people, especially at the hiring stage – we help new employees adapt and integrate seamlessly into the team. . Employees should know that they are not perceived as a function, that colleagues see in everyone, above all, a person and a person, think of him and take care of him. This is one of the indicators of a successful and effective corporate culture,” noted the speaker.

As noted by Yulia Konstantinova, every year opportunities for young professionals, former graduates of colleges and universities, are increasing in the country. These include a variety of internship and practice programs, collaborations between educational institutions and companies, and much more. A similar project called “Right into Career” has a Russian company “Knowledge”. It allows young people to communicate with representatives of various national companies and receive recommendations from experienced HR specialists. When looking for a job, the main thing, according to Konstantinova, is the desire for a young candidate and a creative approach to what you do.

On how to find and unleash a person’s managerial potential, in the podcast studio of the Russian company “Knowledge”, she said Julia Uzhakina, Director General of the Rosatom Corporate Academy. Today, the Crown corporation employs more than 330,000 people, 40,000 of whom hold management positions. Over the past 10 years, the Rosatom Corporate Academy portfolio has grown significantly and now includes more than 550 training programs. The number of trained specialists increased from 2,000 in the first year to 1,100,000 at the end of 2022. Last year, within the framework of the events of the Corporate Academy and federal programs with its participation, there were about 15 million points contact with the public.

Yulia Kushnirenko, Deputy Director of the Enterprise University of Russian Railways, continued the topic of interaction with young people. Russian Railways has been systematically building work with young people for more than 15 years and is one of the youngest companies in the market, almost a quarter of the employees of the holding are people under the age of 35.

Key areas of work with young people include adjustment assistance, involvement in business problem solving, overall development assistance, volunteerism, including patriotic education. Since 2008, Russian Railways has been implementing the flagship project “New Link”, where young people come up with their ideas and solutions for streamlining and, with the support of the management, can turn them into reality. In addition, the company has a comprehensively developed mentoring system, and this year the young activists will also implement mentoring among young people.

The story of personal professional success was shared with the public by the hero of Russia, pilot-cosmonaut Sergei Ryazansky. Working in space, as he pointed out, above all requires patience, diligence and a sense of humor. Speaking of teamwork, the cosmonaut also spoke of warm and trusting relationships with his colleagues. These are the things that help you stay emotionally connected and face challenges together in times of uncertainty:

Taking his job as an example, the podcast studio guest noted that in any profession, people tend to get psychologically and emotionally fatigued, and that’s normal. As well as the fact that a person may feel fear or something is not working. “The main thing is to remember that there are no borders not only in space, but also in life. If you have a goal, then even for small steps towards its achievement you need to d first congratulate and thank you,” he said.

On March 16, during the exhibition and conference, the solemn presentation of the HR EXPO PRO 2023 specialist award took place. The Russian company “Knowledge” was recognized by the expert jury in two categories at once – “Contribution to the development of the market” and “Relaunch”. The awards were presented to the knowledge society’s human resources director, Yulia Konstantinova.
