She noted that work on this had been ongoing since 2022, but the main task was to “develop all possible options to support teachers from a financial point of view”. In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that it is necessary to increase the interest of young people in pedagogy, as well as to attract “creative, capable and active candidates who, after graduating from a pedagogical university, will go to work in a school.” She added that without qualified teachers, Russia will not be able to solve all the tasks that the education system faces today, that the country faces today. “More than 1.3 million teachers work today in the general education system. Among them, about 1.1 million represent almost 2% of the teaching staff. And only 150,000 teachers are under 30 years old” , quoted Golikova.
