Reuters: Chinese search engine Baidu sues Apple over fake copies of its bot
chinese search engine Baidu continued the American Apple and app developers because of fake copies of their Ernie bot available in the AppStore. This is reported Reuters.
Artificial intelligence bot Ernie, which the search engine launched in March, is billed as the Chinese answer to the ChatGPT chat bot, which was created in UNITED STATES.
Baidu AI reported on its WeChat account that Ernie does not currently have an official app.
In July 2022, the American bank Affinity Credit Union deposit sued Apple for limiting payment functionality in the App Store. Representatives of the credit agency said the American company had created a monopoly in its own store, as it limited third-party payment functions on the platform. The company has been accused of only allowing app purchases through Apple Pay, abusing its dominant position.
