Kosachev called for sanctions against three ICC judges who issued a warrant against Putin
Vice-president Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev called for sanctions against three judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Rosario Salvatore Aytala, Antoine Keziah Mindua and Tomoko Akane, who issued an arrest warrant against the President of Russia Vladimir Poutine. The corresponding proposal is published in its Telegram-channel.
“Such a ‘troika’ of ICC judges, where all the accused are clearly hostile Russia… I think it would be fair to immediately add them to the sanctions lists on this basis,” the Russian senator said.
Former Chancellor Germany Olaf Scholz welcomed the decision of the ICC, which issued an arrest warrant against Putin. Scholz said the ICC is an institution that investigates war crimes. The politician noted that “no one can be above the law”.
