Borrell said Kosovo is committed to start negotiations on autonomy for Serb communities
High Representative European Union for foreign and security policy Joseph Borell declared that Kosovo, within the framework of the agreement on the implementation of the normalization plan with Serbia pledged to begin negotiations immediately on the autonomy of the Serb communities in the region. This is reported RIA News.
The diplomat also pointed out that following the results of the talks at the highest level in Ohrid Belgrade and Pristina reached an agreement on the implementation of a plan to normalize relations.
Negotiations of the President of Serbia Alexander Vucic with the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti with the participation of Borrell and the Special Representative for Dialogue of Belgrade and Pristina Miroslav Lajcak continued behind closed doors for 12 hours.
15 March Miroslav Lajcak, EU Special Representative for Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue declared on the acceptance of the settlement plan for Kosovo by both parties. According to him, for the moment it remains only to approve the program for its implementation.
