MOSCOW, March 16 – RIA Novosti. Two elderly men stuck in a car on a flooded bridge over the Aidar River in the Lugansk People’s Republic have been rescued by the Emergency Situations Ministry, RIA Novosti told the ministry’s press service. The incident occurred in the Novoaydarsky district on the bridge over the Aydar River. Due to rising water, a passenger car got stuck there. Two elderly men in the car ignored the sign prohibiting access to this bridge. “With the help of an electric winch installed on a fire truck, the passenger car was fixed in a stable position. Through the luggage compartment, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, dressed in overalls and life jackets, helped people get out,” the ministry said. Rescuers got the men to safety and their car was towed ashore.
