Cherchesov says Iranian Azmun could cause Russians problems in friendly match
Former head coach Russian team Stanislav Cherchesov talked about the next match of the national team against Iran. His words lead “Sport Express”.
The pundit said he didn’t know how Iran played, but team leader Serdar Azmoun could cause problems for any team. “IN Russia it is well known, so the national team must be prepared for it,” he said.
Azmun has been playing for Russian clubs since 2013. He was a footballer for Rubin, Rostov and “Zenith”. From the latter, the striker joined the German Bayer in January 2022. As a member of the Iranian national team, Azmoun participated in the 2022 World Cup, which the team left at the end of the phase of groups.
Earlier on March 17 Russian Football Union confirmed organizing a friendly match between the national teams of Iran and Russia. The meeting will take place in Tehran March 23 at 8:00 p.m. Moscow time.
