The petition was started by Samara journalist Sergei Podsytnik. The petitioner notes that the amendments violate the rights of Russians, as they actually allow military registration and enlistment offices to strike citizens in their rights without a court order.
The petition also draws attention to the fact that the Gosuslug service, through which it is proposed to send subpoenas, has a number of vulnerabilities and that many Russians in remote areas do not have access at all to a stable Internet.
The call to the army itself is a restriction of the citizen’s rights to freedom of movement and freedom of conscience. However, depriving people of the possibility of selling real estate, driving a car or traveling abroad at the request of someone without specialized legal training is an attack on our rights and freedoms.
The petition proposes two ways to undo the amendments – either rejection of the law by the Federation Council or adoption of new repeal standards. “We have no hope for Russian President Vladimir Putin, because everything that is happening is directly related to the war he started,” the petition reads.
