WASHINGTON, March 18 – RIA Novosti. US President Joe Biden has called the International Criminal Court’s decision on a “warrant” against the leaders of the Russian Federation “justified”, said mediator Maria Lvova-Belova. The Russian leader’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that simply raising the issue of the ICC decision is unacceptable, Moscow does not recognize the jurisdiction of this court and none of its decisions are null and void from the point of view of view of “I think it’s warranted,” Biden said, as quoted by the reporter pool. At the same time, the American president noted that Washington does not recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC, but in the case of the Russian leaders, the position of the tribunal is “pretty strong”. Biden again accused the Russian Federation of committing war crimes in Ukraine. Russia conducted a special military operation on February 24, 2022 in Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin called it the task of “protecting people who have been victims of intimidation and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.” According to the President, the ultimate goal of the operation is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions guaranteeing the security of Russia.
