DPA: Belgium will send 230 military trucks and armored vehicles to Ukraine
Belgium intends to send Ukraine 230 army vehicles. This was reported by the DPA agency with reference to the Belgian Ministry of Defense, writes TASS.
It is specified that these are 150 military trucks and 80 multi-purpose armored vehicles. Deliveries are expected to begin Monday, March 20.
According to the review Brussels time, the Belgian authorities planned to phase out these vehicles over the next few years, but their replacement was accelerated by the conflict in Ukraine. Instead of those sent, the Belgian army will receive new vehicles. Besides trucks and armored vehicles, Belgium will send 100 instructors to Ukraine to train Ukrainian military personnel.
In January, it was reported that Belgium send Ukraine a €92 million aid package with grenade launchers, small arms, missiles and cars.
