The city of Astrakhan took second place in the ranking of popular river cities in Russia, according to the administration of the governor of the Astrakhan region. 30% of respondents voted for Astrakhan. They noted that the city is famous not only for its beautiful nature, but also for its fishing grounds, which attract millions of tourists every year. The first line was taken by Kazan. Just over 40% of subscribers voted for this city. The list also includes Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Irkutsk, Blagoveshchensk, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Smolensk and Ulyanovsk. In the spring, the Astrakhan region is traditionally visited by amateur fishermen. This year, as Oleg Knyazev, Deputy Governor, Chairman of the Government of Astrakhan, told the Fisheries Council, fishermen in the region will be under special control. Municipalities, executive bodies of state power and specialized services have been instructed to inform local residents and tourists about fishing rules and fines for littering in the wild.
