MOSCOW, March 18 – RIA Novosti. A 4.8 magnitude earthquake has hit Kahramanmaras province in southeastern Turkey, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC). The earthquake was recorded at 5:14 UTC (8:14 Moscow time). The epicenter of the tremors is located four kilometers southeast of the city of Goksun. The hearth was at a depth of two kilometers. There was no information about possible casualties and destruction. Earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 occurred on February 6 with an interval of nine hours in Kahramanmaras province in southeastern Turkey. Tremors were felt in 11 provinces of the country and neighboring states, including Syria. Turkish authorities called the quake the “disaster of the century”, as nearly 48,000 people fell victim to the elements in the country.
