MOSCOW, March 17 – RIA Novosti. The development plan for the Smolensk region will be designed for five years, Acting Governor of the region Vasily Anokhin told RIA Novosti. Earlier on Friday, Anokhin promised Russian President Vladimir Putin within a month to prepare a detailed plan for the development of the region and report on the work done. “In terms of terms: a five-year planning horizon. A three-year period is a budget cycle and another two years ahead,” Anokhin told RIA Novosti. According to him, the plan includes, among other things, the social development of the region, the successful implementation of national projects, the economic and infrastructural development of the region, the construction of housing and transport. On Friday, Putin signed a decree appointing Vasily Anokhin as acting governor of the Smolensk region, the former governor of the Smolensk region, Alexei Ostrovsky, voluntarily resigned.
